What the Buddies do
A quick tour of Pip, Cash, Quinn, Sam, and Cal — the small crew of background workers.
Updated1 min readbuddies
Buddies are background workers. Each handles a narrow slice of install ops and waits for your sign-off.
The crew
| Buddy | Handles | Default posture |
|---|---|---|
| Pip | Permits, AHJs, inspections | Mostly Copilot |
| Cash | PTO chasing, AR digest, commission ledger | Mostly Autopilot |
| Quinn | Photo and data completeness | Signal-only |
| Sam | Daily standup, pipeline pulse, cross-channel intel | Mostly Signal-only |
| Cal | Calendar + dispatch | Copilot |
Plus 4 more coming: Wendy (customer comms), Bob (procurement), Doug (D&R/insurance), Trish (service triage).
The promise
- Every change reversible for 24 hours
- No message reaches a customer without your sign-off (external comms quarantined)
- Full audit trail per Buddy per skill per project
Where you interact with them
- Buddies → Roster — see the cast, what each is doing, autopilot/copilot/signal-only settings
- Buddies → Inbox — drafts waiting for your approval
- Buddies → Activity — audit log of every action, every undo
Why "Buddies" instead of "AI agents"
Names give the work a face. It's easier to say "Pip pinged me about a permit" than "the permit-chaser cron fired a copilot proposal." Same thing — but you'll talk about it more naturally.
