What the Buddies do
How team-configured Buddies run narrow operational skills under Autopilot, Copilot, Signal-only, or Off controls.
Buddies are named operational assistants. Each runs a small set of skills under the control level configured for your team.
Your roster is live
Open Buddies to see the current roster, enabled skills, and control levels for the selected team. The roster is loaded from team configuration, so names and available skills can change as modules are enabled or the catalog evolves.
Typical skill areas include permits and approvals, closeout and finance follow-up, data quality, daily operational signals, scheduling, and D&R/insurance follow-up. The Buddy detail page is the source of truth for what a specific Buddy currently does and does not do.
What the control level changes
- Autopilot can execute a supported action without an Inbox decision.
- Copilot creates a proposal for a person to approve or reject.
- Signal-only surfaces information without executing the business action.
- Off pauses the skill for the team.
The level does not override team permissions, provider configuration, opt-out/compliance checks, module access, or an action's reversibility. A reversible database write can expose Undo for 24 hours; a delivered message or other irreversible external effect cannot be recalled.
Where you interact with Buddies
- Buddies — current roster, skills, and per-skill control levels
- Buddies → Inbox — pending Copilot proposals, including reversible/irreversible labels and bulk review tools
- Buddies → Activity — unified proposal and execution history, with Undo only for eligible executed writes
For an action you do not recognize, open Activity, filter by Buddy and skill, and follow the linked project before changing the control level.
