Notification preferences
Choose in-app, email, and browser-push delivery for each event type in the current team.
Notification preferences belong to both your user and the current team. Configure them separately for each team you use.
Available channels
- In-app — shows supported events in the team's notification feed. Events without an explicit preference default to in-app delivery.
- Email — opt in per event type. Delivery also depends on email notifications being enabled for the team.
- Push — opt in per event type. Browser push also requires notification permission in that browser.
The current preference screen does not offer per-event Slack toggles, quiet-hour scheduling, or weekly-digest controls.
Change preferences
Open notification settings
In the dashboard, open Settings → Notifications for the current team. You can also open the notification feed from the bell and click Notification settings.
Enable browser push if wanted
If your browser supports push, click Enable Push and approve the browser permission prompt. A blocked browser permission must be changed in the browser's site settings.
Choose channels by event
Review the event groups and select In-app, Email, or Push for the events you want.
Save
Click Save. The screen does not save channel changes automatically.
Verify it worked
- Reopen Settings → Notifications and confirm the saved checkboxes.
- The bell opens the current team's notification feed.
- Push works only in browsers where permission and a push subscription are active.
Troubleshooting
"Email is selected but no message arrives" — Ask an Owner or Admin to confirm team email fan-out is enabled, then check the account's verified email and spam folder.
"Push is selected but nothing appears" — Check the browser's notification permission for SunrAI. Push configuration is browser-specific.
"I changed one team but another team looks different" — This is expected. Preferences are stored per user and per team.
