Submit a permit
Create and track a permit application from a project.
Steps
Open the project
Open the project and select the Permits tab.
Start a permit application
Select + Submit Permit. SunrAI fills in an AHJ based on the project address; review it and change it if needed.
Attach the application packet
Upload the permit packet as a PDF or ZIP file. Each file can be up to 5 GB.
Submit
Submit the application. The permit appears with the Submitted status.
What happens next
You can track the permit from the project's Permits tab. Pip may suggest a follow-up when a permit remains submitted longer than expected. See How Pip follows up on permits.
An AHJ with a low inspection pass rate may also be flagged on a project so your team can prepare.
Troubleshooting
"The AHJ isn't in the list." — Search by city or jurisdiction name. If it still isn't available, ask your Owner or Admin to add or update the AHJ profile.
"My packet won't upload." — Confirm that each file is no larger than 5 GB. Try splitting or compressing a larger packet.
