Change a project's status
Move a project forward, put it on hold, or close it out — and how the lifecycle updates.
Updated1 min readprojects
Status is a single field. The lifecycle rail derives milestone state from it.
Statuses
- Not started — created but no work has happened yet
- In progress — active, lifecycle milestones updating normally
- On hold — paused for a documented reason; Pip/Cash stop chasing
- Completed — installed and PTO'd; only AR + activation tracking remain
Steps
Open the project
Click any project from the list or dashboard strip.
Click the status pill
Top-right of the project detail. A dropdown appears.
Pick the new status
For On hold, you'll be asked for a reason — it shows up in the audit log.
What the Buddies do when you change status
| Change | Effect |
|---|---|
| → On hold | Pip stops permit/IC chasing. Cash stops PTO/AR chasing. Quinn still flags data gaps. |
| → In progress (from hold) | All chasers resume. Suppression reasons cleared. |
| → Completed | Cash starts the AR digest. Pip/Quinn quiet down. |
Reversibility
Status changes write to agent_writes with a 24h undo. Open the project's Activity tab and click Undo next to the change.
